Where it all started

Michele began figure skating at the age of four, quickly developing a reputation for power, speed, athleticism, and competitive drive. Her dedication to the sport led her to compete in women’s singles at nine Canadian National Championships throughout her competitive career.

At 15, Michele relocated from home to train at the prestigious Mariposa School of Skating in Barrie, Ontario, where she trained alongside world-class athletes under internationally respected coaches. Those early years shaped the discipline, resilience, and high-performance mindset that continue to define her approach today.

Throughout her figure skating career, Michele trained under Doug Leigh, Michelle Leigh, Shelley Barnett and the late Anne Schelter, widely respected for her technical expertise in edge mastery and skating mechanics.
That foundation in posture, edge control, movement efficiency, and technical precision became the cornerstone of the development philosophy she now brings into elite hockey skating and long-term athlete development.

As a member of NEXXICE, Michele earned both World Bronze and World Gold medals while competing at the highest levels of international synchronized skating.

In 2009, the NEXXICE team was inducted into the Skate Canada Hall of Fame following their World Championship success.

Her experience competing inside elite performance environments continues to influence the standards, preparation, accountability, and progression systems she now brings into every athlete and coaching environment she leads.

Following her singles skating career, Michele joined Canada’s elite synchronized skating team, NEXXICE, where she competed internationally across North America and Europe representing Team Canada.

built through elite performance

FROM FIGURE SKATING TO HOCKEY DEVELOPMENT

Encouraged by her father, Greg Moore, Michele transitioned her figure skating expertise into hockey skating development, combining elite technical skating precision with hockey-specific movement application and game performance.

Immersing herself fully in hockey development, Michele became deeply focused on skating efficiency, acceleration mechanics, edge utilization, agility, and movement refinement.

She studied elite player movement patterns extensively while developing her own philosophy around purposeful development and long-term athlete progression.

Over time, her work evolved from youth and minor hockey development into junior, professional, and NHL athlete progression, building a reputation for disciplined technical coaching, purposeful development systems, and game-ready performance outcomes rooted in precision and progression.

RAISING ATHLETES
& RAISING LEADERS

Motherhood has reinforced what she already knew: every person develops differently. It has strengthened her commitment to athlete-centred development while recognizing the individual needs, confidence, and progression journey behind every athlete.

She finds deep satisfaction in supporting youth sports development and watching young athletes grow both on and off the ice.

Her children continue to remind her that the best coaching meets people where they are, challenges them appropriately, and believes fully in what’s possible for them.

Michele is a devoted mother of two and a supportive wife who believes deeply in the power of structured, purposeful coaching to build not only better athletes but stronger, more confident individuals.

Precision. Progression. Performance.

As Michele’s platform continues to grow, so does her commitment to advancing the future of hockey development through athlete progression, coach education, speaking, and high-performance leadership.

Her work remains grounded in the same principles that shaped her career from the beginning: precision, discipline, consistency, and purposeful progression over time.

Whether working with athletes, coaches, organizations, or speaking on larger stages, Michele remains committed to building environments that challenge people to grow, perform, and lead at higher levels of the game.
